How wonderful! You have decided to become pregnant and like to have a baby. Remember it is a big decision, because it will change your life forever, but in the nicest possible way. 😉
Trying for a baby?
Don’t expect to become pregnant immediately. Once you are pregnant it is worth taking a lifestyle check. No one is expecting you to change your life drastically, but there are a couple of things you will need to change, some like
Your diet – consider eating healthier like fresh fruit and vegetables, try to limit processed food, biscuits and cakes and don’t eat too much fat.
Smoking – Stop smoking when trying to fall pregnant or when you are pregnant and try not to resume after birth of your child. Smoking is harmful not only to you, but your baby and their development. Each puff you inhale contains nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide which is harmful chemicals that are exposed to the fetus.
Alcohol – It is unknown how much alcohol is too much, but research shows that it may cause a serious condition called FAS – Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Heavy drinking during pregnancy may also increase the risk for miscarriage. So be on the safe side and avoid drinking alcohol during your pregnancy.
Don’t worry too much about timing sex with the day you are ovulating. Research shown that couples who make love throughout the month tend to conceive most quickly. JUST ENJOY YOUR SEX LIFE!
Cut down on coffee, it can take longer to conceive if you are drinking more than three cups a day. If you have a hectic lifestyle, try to take things calm, this will reduce your stress level and your chance to conceive will increase.
